“In 2013, I met Scott Butterfield for the first time when he facilitated our strategic planning. Before our strategic planning event, Scott spent time with me reviewing the credit union’s history and our lending philosophy. After some wonderful conversation, Scott asked me the most important strategic question I have ever been asked. He asked why we were not already CDFI certified; the rest is history! 

Scott helped us with our CDFI certification application and our first grant application in 2013. Additionally, over the years, Scott has guided us through many more successful initiatives and applications. A successful Field of Membership Expansion with NCUA, multiple successful grant applications, and further Strategic Planning. YCUP also provides grant compliance, which is vital for a small shop.

“I met Scott and Alison at the CUNA GAC in 2019 through our mutual friend, Bo McDonald of YMC. What I immediately loved about them is that they are very down to Earth and relatable people; the conversations were easy and deeper than typical vendor conversations.
